Travel to Mykonos, Greece

Mykonos, an island of Greece, is certainly one of the main travel destinations in Europe, welcoming many vacationers each year. The island is part of Cyclades, a group of islands in Aegean Sea, and lies between Tinos, Siros, Paros and Naxos. It consists mostly from granite and it has little natural fresh water, so the desalination of sea water provide mainly the water on the island.
The largest town on the island is also named Mykonos. Almost every cruise ship docks at Mykonos, one of the most famous and most visited islands in every cruise. On the island was built a worldwide famous white washed church with a blue dome roof - the epitome of Greece. A white cross crowns the blue dome. Along the beach resorts of Mykonos dotted with all-inclusive hotels and villas for rent, on the top of a gentle hill, a row of windmills form a straight line. Their base is whitewashed, but the cones topping them are covered in straw. The church or the windmills are present almost on every postcard sent from Mykonos, so they are the emblems of the island.
