Greece VacationsHolidays In Hotels In Milos, Greek Islands

Milos is one of the Greek islands lying in Aegean Sea and is the south westernmost island in the Cyclades Group, located at 75 miles (120 kilometers) east to the coasts of Laconia. From east to west, the island of Milos measures only 14 miles (23 kilometers) and from north to south just 8 miles (13 kilometers). Its most area is rugged and hilly, culminating with the 2,454 feet (748 meters) high Mount Profitis Elias, in the west. Like the rest of the islands settled in the region, Milos has volcanic origin. A natural harbor cuts the island in two fairly equal parts, with an isthmus not more than 11 miles (18 kilometers) broad. On both sides are settled a few good beach resorts, several hotels, and villas for rent.

Among the top holiday attractions on Milos, besides beaches, are numerous caves and a few hot springs, on the eastern shore of the harbor.
