The precipitations are rare in summer country wide (but can appear thunderstorms) and moderate in winter.
But when is the best time to visit Greece? Because of the great weather and low variations between seasons, holiday makers can go on vacation on Greece at any time, excepting perhaps January and February, when is pretty cold and the rains are present almost every day. People who want to take tours of Athens to see the many archaeological gems or are interested in visiting other landmarks like Mount Athos, Meteora, Epidaurus, Marathon or Delphi are guided to go on holiday in Greece from mid-October to end of November and from mid-March to end of May.
